HABITS AND PREFERENCES OF FILIPINO VIEWERS OF LOCAL FILMS IN METRO MANILA PHILIPPINES

MAKATI, PHILIPPINES โ€“ The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) in partnership with De La Salle Universityโ€™s Social Research and Development Center (DLSU-SRDC), has released a comprehensive study on the viewing habits of Filipino audiences in Metro Manila. This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two institutions on March 5, 2024.ย 

THE FDCP SIGNS PH-FRANCE CINEMATIC CO-PRODUCTION TREATY

CANNES, FRANCE โ€“ The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Franceโ€™s Centre National du Cinรฉma et de l'image animรฉe or National Centre for Cinematography (CNC) have officially signed the Philippine-France Cinematographic Co-production Agreement at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival.ย 

FDCP TO SCREEN RESTORED VERSION OF NORA AUNORโ€™S 1984 FILM โ€˜MERIKA

MANILA, PHILIPPINES โ€“ The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) proudly presents the premiere of the digitally restored version of โ€˜Merika (1984) by Gil Portes at the Metropolitan Theater on May 18, 2025. This restoration is part of the council's ongoing commitment to preserving Philippine cinema through the Philippine Film Archive.ย
